Track your order at international tracking service Trackit or on your delivery service website.

My order is shipped. Why am I unable to track my order on the post office webpage?
Tracking data may be delayed due to a number of reasons, including:
1. Orders with tracking numbers are sent via registered Airmail; all packages need to be scanned and recorded at the post office. This process takes 48 hours to be completed. After the package is processed, online tracking will be available on the site.
2. On very rare occasions the post office might change the tracking number sticker on a package because the sticker was blurred, damaged or injured in other ways and therefore  became unscannable.

Is there any risk of the equipment being damaged while being transported?
Each item is wrapped up in bubbled wrap and packaged in a carton. Each carton is packed into a polyethylene foil envelope.

If my credit card is registered in one country but I want to place an order to be delivered to another country, will I be able to do so?
Yes. We can send your order to any address different from your billing address, which you specify during checkout as your shipping address.

Radiation Measurement

What is radiation? What are its normal levels and doses?
You can find out the key facts about radiation on the About Radiation page.

Why Soeks dosimeters are superior to other household radiation dosimeters?
Soeks Geiger Counters were acknowledged Model of the Year 2011 due to their exceptional performance and high levels of precision. Typical radiation detectors display exposure dosage ranging from 5 to 1,000 μR/h, while Soeks devices provide a higher level of precision, from 5 to 100,000 μR/h. Only the Soeks Geiger Counter boasts a color display, graphical representation of measurements and 127 measurement points. The device also possesses a hi-tech design, is lightweight, compact and capable of being charged via USB.
The biggest issue with standard issue devices of this type is that the majority of household radiation detectors have radioactive sensors made in the 80’s, right after the Chernobyl disaster, and as such, their life cycle is swiftly coming to an end. In contrast, Soeks Radiation Detectors possess sensors that are up-to-date and much more accurate.

What kind of radiation are the Soeks able to detect?
The Soeks easily gauges radioactivity levels based on ion radiation intensity (gamma radiation and beta particle stream) and x-ray radiation levels.

What measurement units do the Soeks use?
The Soeks Geiger Counter displays exposure rate in µSv/h. The µSv (microSievert) is the internationally accepted unit for radiation measurement.

How are the measurement units converted into rem?
One sievert is equal to 100 rem:

  • 1 rem = 0.01 Sv = 10 mSv
  • 1 mrem = 0.01 mSv = 10 μSv
  • 1 Sv = 100 rem
  • 1 mSv = 100 mrem = 0.1 rem
  • 1 μSv = 0.1 mrem

Can the Soeks detect background radiation in food and water?
To measure the radiation levels of foodstuff, building materials or other objects follow these steps:
1. Measure the level of background radiation several meters away from the target.
2. Move the device directly towards the target and measure radiation background as close as possible to the target.
3. Compare the resulting data with the background radiation level measured in step 1.
The difference in readings between step 1 and step 2 will represent the target’s background radiation level. To evaluate the radioactive contamination of liquids, the unit must be placed above the open surface of the liquid. To protect the unit from contact with the liquid, it is recommended that the unit be wrapped in a polyethylene bag while ensuring that the wrapping consists of one layer of plastic only.

What’s the difference between the Soeks Defender and the Soeks-01M?
Key features of the Soeks Defender (in comparison to the Soeks-01M Geiger Counter):

  • Measurement of cumulative dose up to 100 Sv
  • New rubber case
  • Increased battery life
  • Sound indication for cumulative doses reaching the threshold
  • Rechargeable batteries and charger included in kit

What’s the latest version of the Soeks-01M?
The current version of the Soeks 01M: 1.CL. We also have a 2.CL version available, with the only difference being the presence of a Japanese language option for the interface.

Nitrate Level Measurement

What are nitrates? What are normal nitrate levels?
You can find out they key facts about nitrates on the About Nitrates page.

Which products’ nitrate levels can a Soeks dosimeter measure?
The Soeks measures nitrates in the following foodstuffs:

  • Apple
  • Apricot
  • Banana
  • Beet
  • Cabbage early
  • Cabbage late
  • Carrot early
  • Carrot late
  • Cucumber soil
  • Cucumber gr.
  • Eggplant
  • Grapes
  • Greengrocery
  • Pear
  • Lettuce
  • Marrow
  • Melon
  • Nectarine
  • Onion Bulb
  • Onion Green
  • Peach
  • Pepper Sweet
  • Persimmon
  • Potatoes
  • Radish Black
  • Radish Garden
  • Strawberry
  • Tomato soil
  • Tomato gr.
  • Watermelon
  • Baby Norm
  • Fresh Meat

How does Soeks equipment measure nitrate content?
Nitrate content analysis is based on the alternating high-frequency current conductivity of the tested food items.
Checking the content and the amount of nitrates in the analyzed product is accomplished by piercing the product with a sensitive element located in the lower part of the device.
A video demonstrating the measurement process can be viewed here here.

Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Measurement

What are some useful applications for the Soeks Impulse?
The Soeks Impulse Electromagnctic Field (EMF) Intensity Meter is intended for:

  • Express analysis of electromagnetic fields in various living spaces, residential areas and PCs
  • Detection of electromagnetic radiation sources
  • Localization of hidden electric wiring (in walls, furniture, etc.)
  • Identifying the most favorable residential areas for humans and animals alike

Such a device is invaluable to anyone living in or around areas such as: electric plants, high-tension lines, military facilities, airports, space observatories, manufacturing plants, scientific or other research institutions.

What makes the Soeks Impulse better than other EMF Meters?
The Soeks Impulse is an advanced May 2012 model boasting flawless performance and a high speed of operation. Typical EM meters are very sophisticated and measure a single field at a time (magnetic or electric).
The Soeks Impulse, on the other hand, allows you to analyze two fields at once and displays both magnetic and electric backgrounds in the form of a 3D diagram. It has the capacity to display an X,Y plane for electric fields and X,Y,Z plane for magnetic fields.

What measurement units does the Soeks Impulse EMF Meter use?
The Soeks Impulse measures electromagnetic field in internationally accepted units.
Electric field measurement units: kV/m (kilovolts per meter)
Magnetic field measurement units: uT (microtesla)

Conversions:
1 G (gauss) = 100 uT (microtesla)
1 uT (microtesla) = 0.01 G (gauss)
